Alvin Wang Graylin (汪丛青) is a seasoned technology executive, author, and global thought leader with over 30 years of experience driving innovation across artificial intelligence (AI), extended reality (XR), semiconductors, and cybersecurity. He currently serves as Chairman of the Virtual World Society, Vice-Chair of the Industry of VR Alliance, and is a Digital Fellow at Stanford's Digital Economy Lab (within HAI). Graylin was previously Global VP and China President at HTC, where he led the company’s pioneering efforts in virtual and augmented reality for nearly a decade. He also played key leadership roles at Intel, IBM, Trend Micro, and WatchGuard, and has founded four venture-backed startups spanning conversational AI search, mobile social platforms, mobile AR, and AI-driven big data analytics.

As the author of Our Next Reality (Hachette Books), Graylin explores how the convergence of AI and XR technologies will transform the future of society. He has invested in over 100 startups and helped launch major global accelerators, including HTC’s ViveX and SOSV’s mobile internet incubator. A sought-after global keynote speaker, Graylin is frequently featured in international media as a thought leader on AI, immersive computing, technology policy, entrepreneurship, and the Chinese tech landscape. With MS degrees in Computer Science (with AI focus) and Management from MIT, and a BS in Electrical Engineering focused on AI, VR and CPU architecture, Graylin combines deep technical insight with strategic business acumen. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese—and having lived and worked extensively across the U.S. and China—he brings a uniquely cross-cultural lens to global innovation, policy, and market dynamics.
