Simon Nixon is an independent journalist and commentator on British, European and international political economy and geoeconomics. He is the author of the Wealth of Nations newsletter published on Substack and is a frequent contributor to a number of other publications. He was formerly chief leader writer and a financial columnist for The Times, chief European commentator at the Wall Street Journal and European editor of the WSJ's Heard on the Street financial analysis and commentary column. He has a degree in history from Trinity College, Cambridge and lives in London.
