Kimon is an Associate Professor in the Data Sciences and Operations Department at the University of Southern California and the Director of the AI for Business Major. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, stochastic processes, networks, game theory, and information economics, with applications in operational decision-making.
He earned his PhD from the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He previously served as the Chief Data Scientist for the Greek National COVID-19 Taskforce and as a Data Science Advisor to the Greek Prime Minister. Since 2023, he has been a Senior Committee Member of the National AI Strategy Taskforce for the Greek Government.
Kimon is a recipient of the Daniel H. Wagner Prize and the Pierskalla Award.
