Dr Petros Kapasouris is General Manager at Tiresias, having worked at the company for more than 25 years in various positions, such as Management Consultant, Business Development Manager, Production Manager and Head of Research and Development. He is responsible for shaping and implementing the company's strategy, its business planning and digital transformation, as well as for developing services with added value in the new era of information, overseeing the development of new sources of data, credit scoring systems and decision-making support systems. In the past he had worked as a business consultant at Intrasoft, responsible for the strategic design of computer systems, business organisation and business process re-engineering. He has worked in the USA as a research and development engineer at Alphatech (currently BAE - British Aerospace) in the field of aeronautics control system theory, human performance modelling and decision-making automation systems. He has also worked at GE Aviation (USA) in designing automatic control system methodologies for aircraft and helicopter engines, and at Omega Engineering (USA) as a temperature control systems engineer. He holds a Ph.D. and a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Μ.Ι.Τ (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut. Dr Kapasouris has published papers on topics such as credit score calculation, credit check, strategy and strategic design of computer systems. His published research focuses on multi-variable control systems and their applications in the aerospace industry, algorithms for optimising resource allocation and performance evaluation of human-machine collaboration in large organisations.
