Mr. Stefano Mallia, a Maltese entrepreneur, has been a member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) since 2010 and President of its Employers' Group since 2020. The Employers' Group represents over 100 entrepreneurs and business associations from all EU Member States, advocating for 20+ million European companies.
Previously, he was the youngest President of the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise, and Industry and Vice-President of the European Movement. A key advocate for Malta’s EU membership, he has actively contributed to several EESC Opinions on major issues, including Fit for 55, Climate Diplomacy, Brexit, Cohesion Policy, and Mediterranean Immigration. His work brings real business perspectives to the European level, strengthening cooperation with EU institutions and advancing the European project.
