Vassilis is a Managing Director and Senior Partner and the regional leader of BCG’s Global CEO Advisory Council. He has had a key role in the development of the Athens office since joining BCG in 2003, serving also as Head of BCG’s Athens Office from 2010-18. He advises CEOs in financial services, energy, and various other sectors in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He has been a regional leader of the Financial Institutions practice at BCG from 2014 to 2024.
Vassilis was a government-appointed board member of Greece’s National Council for Research and Innovation (NCRI) from 2019-21 and has advised the Greek government since 2019 on green transition, economic recovery, healthcare policy and the management of the country’s unique cultural assets. He also serves on the boards of the Bodossaki Philanthropic Foundation, the Benaki Museum, as well as the Advisory Council for drafting a national climate legislation on behalf of WWF Hellas. He is also a founding member of ExcellenSeas, a Greek NGO granting scholarships for college to top high school graduates from remote Greek islands.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.Sc. magna cum laude, Phi Betta Kappa in International Finance from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
