Willem Van Duin served as CEO and Chairman of the Achmea Executive Board from 2009 to 2021. He has also served as Chairman of the Dutch Association of Insurers, the International Federation of Health Plans, Eurapco, and as a member of the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers. In addition to his work in the corporate sector, Willem Van Duin has served in roles with several foundations and advisory bodies, including the Achmea Foundation. Currently, he is a member of the board of Achmea Association and Chairman of the Achmea Foundation, continuing to influence the insurance and business sectors.
Willem was born in the Netherlands and holds a legal degree in Dutch private law from Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
