Rem Korteweg is senior research fellow at the Clingendael Institute in The Hague. He works on issues at the intersection of trade, foreign policy and security and has an interest in the impact of geopolitics on economic globalization. His current research focuses on European trade and industrial policy, economic security and the future of transatlantic relations. Rem also leads the Clingendael US Programme, focused on building a deeper understanding of the US and its foreign policy outlook. He is an Associate Fellow in the Global Economy and Finance Programme of Chatham House.
