Mr Ivan Vidiš is the State Secretary at the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family, and Social Policy, whose scope of responsibilities includes the labour market and employment policies, with a particular focus on active employment policy measures, as well as labour relations regulation and the management and implementation of operational programs co-financed by the European Social Fund. Prior to his appointment as State Secretary, he worked as an Advisor in the Cabinet of the Minister, responsible for coordinating and managing international activities and playing a key role in the preparations for Croatia's Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2020. He gained valuable professional experience in the field of diplomacy through his previous roles as a European Commission Trainee at DG for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion in Brussels, and as an employee in the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. He also had the privilege of serving in the Office of Andrej Plenković, Member of the European Parliament in 2014. He holds a Master's degree in Current Democracies: Federalism, Nationalism, and Multiculturality from Pompeu Fabra University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Zagreb.
