He previously consulted with several leading political risk and advisory firms in Washington, DC and London. In his forthcoming book, The New Byzantines: The Rise of Greece and Return of the Near East, published by Hurst, Mathews travels across the region offering a bold reappraisal of Greece's place in the wider Middle East and exploration of its rising geopolitical importance in a multipolar world.
