Damianos Papakonstantinou has more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector in Greece from senior management level up to CEO.
Between 2000 – 2011 he worked at P&K Securities and NBG Securities, as Managing Director – Head of Sales. Between 2007 and 2011 he supervised the Institutional Sales of the firm in Athens, London and Istanbul managing a team of 20 people, integrating different cultures and operationally merging three subsidiaries from different countries (Greece, Turkey and the U.K.) into one international brokerage company.
Co-Founder and Managing Director at Virtus Equity Partners (2011 – 2015);CEO of Piraeus Securities (2015 -2018), Investment Manager at Virtus South European Fund (2018 -2021), Head of Strategy at IDEAL Holdings since 2021.
He holds an MBA from INSEAD and BSc & Msc in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
