Dr. Lykourgos Liakakos is a political scientist and international relations expert, holding a PhD in International Law with a specialization in the Law of the Sea, from Panteion University. Additionally, he serves as a lecturer at the Laiko Panepistimio Athinon (People’s University of Athens) in the fields of international law, international relations, and foreign policy. As Scientific Director at the MESONISOS Cultural and Development Center in Greece, he integrates international law, geopolitics, and environmental sciences, particularly focusing on renewable and marine energy resources. He has also cooperated as a research associate at the European Center for Environmental Research and Training (EKePEK). In December 2024, he participated in Greece’s first School of Participatory Democracy, organized by the Council of Europe. In his capacity as columnist, he collaborates with newspapers, scientific journals, and regularly appears as an international affairs analyst on television.
