Mark Chaban is the Vice President of Cloud Commercial Solutions and a member of Microsoft’s
EMEA regional leadership team, responsible for driving accelerated growth of Microsoft’s cloud
solutions across EMEA.
A Transformational Leader and Customer Success Innovator at heart, Mark has driven breakthrough projects in the Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa region (CEMA), including the establishment of multiple Azure Regions. During his previous tenure with Microsoft, as General Manager and CTO of the Customer Success Unit in the CEMA region, Mark led a technical community of over 700 Customer Success Account Managers, Cloud Solution Architects, Customer Success Managers, and Customer Engineers. This team spanned across the Microsoft suite of cloud solutions and services - Azure, Security, Modern Work, Business Applications, and Unified offerings - enabling customers to maximize their business value through accelerated cloud adoption and growth.
Mark has over 25 years of industry experience starting with General Motors and IBM, and spent the last 20 years at Microsoft, occupying numerous executive roles in the United States Headquarters, Middle East & Africa (MEA) and Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa (CEMA) region.
Since 2017, Mark has also been leading the Responsible AI efforts, on Sensitive Use cases, putting the responsible AI principles into practice through the Office of Responsible AI (ORA), the AI Ethics, and Effects in Engineering and Research (AETHER) Committee, and Responsible AI Strategy in Engineering (RAISE).
Mark is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he received a Master’s in Software Engineering & Bachelors in Computer Science. He is an avid technology evangelist with the passion to champion ethical AI, inspire Young in Career talent and empower diversity and inclusion in everything we do.
