Costis Psaltis is Eurobank’s Group Chief Transformation Officer.
He started his career as a management consultant in London, where over 15 years he advised major European corporations and new ventures on business strategy, organisational design and operational effectiveness. During this time, he co-founded and led two consulting practices in the UK, before joining Monitor as Group Leader of the European Financial Services Practice where he also led the Greek practice.
He then served as Head of Integration Office at National Bank of Greece, leading strategic transactions, post-merger integrations and transformation initiatives in Southeast Europe, and coordinating the bank’s participation in the first asset quality review by international institutions in Greece. Following that, he served as Head of Strategic Projects at Piraeus Bank Group, leading strategic divestment, cost optimisation and performance management initiatives as part of the bank’s turnaround.
He led the editorial team of the book “The Banking Revolution: Salvation or Slaughter?” on the challenges and opportunities presented by technology in financial services, while his empirical research on the trends and factors for success in European bank mergers has been published in several industry publications and reported in the Financial Times and The Banker. He has been interviewed on BBC and Sky News and has presented his work at several industry conferences.
Mr Psaltis holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the Athens University of Economics and Business, where he graduated first in his class, and an MBA with Distinction from the London Business School.
