Niki Kerameus currently serves as the Minister of Labour and Social Security of the Hellenic Republic. Previously, she served as Minister of the Interior between 2023 and 2024 and as Minister of Education and Religious Affairs between 2019 and 2023. She has been a Member of Parliament with New Democracy since January 2015. She is a lawyer with over 15 years of work experience (mainly in international arbitration) and a member of the Athens and New York Bar Associations, having studied in France (Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas, summa cum laude) and the United States (Harvard Law School). She has been particularly involved in community service through DESMOS, a non-profit foundation of which she is a founding member and first president. She has been awarded for her pro bono legal services to homeless groups in New York City. She speaks fluently English and French, and has basic knowledge of German.
