George Sp. Alexandratos, was born in Athens in 1973 ,hails from the island of Kefalonia and graduated from Moraitis school. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Shipping Business from Plymouth University and a Master of Science in Maritime Policy from Cardiff University.
He is currently the Director of Apollonia Lines S.A., a company established by his father Spyros in 1974. The company is maintaining a consistent presence in the bulk carrier sector for several decades.
Since January 2025, George ιs serving as the President of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, He has also been the General Secreteriat of the Hellenic Short Sea Shipowners Association since 2015. Furthermore, he was elected President of the Piraeus Marine Club in 2022. Between 2014 and 2016, he served as President of the Hellenic Hull Mutual.
George is a staunch supporter of Maritime Hellas, the official Hellenic Maritime Cluster, and believes in the power of synergies to drive the industry's advancement as also in the philosophy and realism that only through unity can we achieve great success.
