Evangelos Dioikitopoulos is an Associate Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business and the Director of the Research Center, Laboratory of Economic Policy Studies (ΕΜΟΠ). He is also a Research Fellow at the Data Analytics for Macro and Finance Research Center at King’s Business School, King’s College London.
He spent most of his academic career in the United Kingdom, holding permanent academic positions at King’s Business School of King’s College London and Brunel University London, with research visits to Brown University and Harvard University in the USA.
He has served as a member of the board of directors of the Department of Economics and Finance at Brunel University London and as the Director of Postgraduate Studies for the MSc in Economics and Finance at King’s College London.
His research works and publications lie in the fields of Dynamic Macroeconomics, Demographics, Economic Policy and Dynamic Optimal Taxation, Behavioral Economics, Economic History, and Environmental Economics.
He has published in prestigious international academic journals such as International Economic Review, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Population Economics, Canadian Journal of Economics, Macroeconomic Dynamics, Environmental and Resources Economics, and Social Science & Medicine.
Apart from his academic work, he is currently developing two educational/personal coaching chatbots using advanced AI techniques accompanied by scientific data.
