Patrina Paparrigopoulou-Pechlivanidis is a professor at the University of Athens Law School, Faculty of Law, in the field of public law with emphasis on social security law. Born in Athens in 1962, she is married and has two children. She holds a doctorate in law from the University of Sorbonne (Paris I).

She has been a member of the Athens Bar Association, a lawyer at the Supreme Court (in Greek «ΆρειοςΠάγος») since 1997 and a member of the law firm "I.D. Paparrigopoulos, P. Paparrigopoulou and Associates" since 2010. She has extensive experience as counsel and advocate of social insurance agencies, occupational funds and private companies.
Furthermore, she has served in different positions of responsibility, including:
- Minister of Labour and Social Affairs in the caretaker government of Prime Minister Ioannis Sarmas from 26.5.2023 (Government Gazette A 121) to 27.6.2023 (Government Gazette A 131).
- President of the Committee for the Transposition of the EU Directive 2022/2041 on the minimum wage (2024).
- Non-executive member of the Board of Directors of the Supplementary Capital Insurance Fund, legal person governed by public law, (2022- today).
- Member of the Supervisory Board of the Independent Authority for Assisted Reproduction, (2024 – today).
- Member of the Special Court for Dispute Settlement referred to in para. 2 of Article 88 of the Constitution (2022).
-Member of the Disciplinary Council for members of the National Telecommunications and Postal Services Commission (2021).
- Member of the Committee of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs for the acceleration of the award of pensions, which recommended the reorganisation of the services of the Electronic National Social Security Agency (e-EFKA), in order to fully exploit the potential of digital technology and protect the rights of the insured (timely payment of benefits) and of the organization (collection of contributions) (2022-2023).
