Mr. Dimitris Tsitsiragos was appointed Chairman of Alpha Bank in January 2025. Before joining the Board of Alpha Bank Group in 2020, he built a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in emerging markets finance and direct investments across various sectors and regions.
Mr. Tsitsiragos spent most of his career at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. He joined IFC in 1989 and advanced through several leadership roles, ultimately overseeing its global investment operations and chairing IFC’s corporate credit committee.
Beyond IFC, he has served as a senior advisor on emerging markets at PIMCO and is currently a Board member of Titan Cement International. He previously held Board positions at India’s Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (IDFC) and Sri Lanka’s Commercial Bank of Ceylon (CBC).
