Panagiotis Kakolyris is the COO and Head of Strategy of SOCIALDOO and a Board of Directors member of the Olympia and Bequests Committee.
He is also Head of International Relations at the Konstantinos Karamanlis Institute for Democracy, Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for International & European Political Economy & Governance (University of the Peloponnese – Department of Political Science and International Relations).
Additionally, he is the co-founder of the Strategic Thinking Lab and he works as a part-time lecturer at the European Communication Institute and the Hellenic American Union (Digital Marketing Certificate) and as a Research Associate at the Neapolis University Pafos (Digital Marketing LAB).
He has worked as a journalist, news analyst and editor in chief, for many Greek and international media like, The European newspaper, Flash 96 radio, Alpha TV, protagon.gr etc. He has also worked as the head of the Press Office for the Greek Ministries of Migration, Transport, Environment, and Culture.
His academic pursuits led him to explore International Relations & Security, governance, journalism, and digital media in Greece, Cyprus, and the United Kingdom.
In 2020 he presented the theory of “Intelligent Relations” about the digital transformation of Communication with the use of AI. (www.intelligent-relations.org)
In 2022 he cocreated with Eleni Sourani the innovative “intellemo” communication approach, combining intelligence with emotionality.
His latest publication is “Reflections and Distortions - The Electoral Impact of Social Media in Europe”.
He is a frequent public speaker in Greece and abroad, regularly publishing articles on topics such as international affairs, democracy and the future of Europe, AI and ethics, communication and social media, as well as the newly presented concept of "Atypical Excellence".
Beyond his professional and academic endeavors, Panagiotis also explores the art of ceramics. He recently shared his collection, "Personal Targets" with the public.
