Eugenia Manolidou is the Director of Elliniki Agogi, a pioneering institution in Athens dedicated to the experiential teaching of Classical Greek language, history, and philosophy. Since assuming leadership, she has overseen curriculum development, strategic planning and international outreach, expanding the institution’s impact across educational levels and borders. Under her direction, Elliniki Agogi has received multiple distinctions, including the Education Leaders Awards (2020, 2022) and the title Best Ancient Greek Education Provider – Southeast Europe (2022).
Her work promotes a dynamic, communicative approach to Ancient Greek instruction, tailored for students aged 3 to 16, and has been presented at international conferences and teacher training seminars. In collaboration with universities and cultural organizations, she has also initiated summer camps, school programs, and Europe-wide educational partnerships.
Originally trained in music, Eugenia had a distinguished career as a composer and conductor from 2000 to 2017, performing internationally at venues such as the Wiener Musikverein and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. She studied music composition and orchestral conducting at the Juilliard School in New York, and later completed executive education programs at Columbia Business School (Digital Marketing, 2020) and the Harvard Graduate School of Education (Leading Learning, 2020).
She has published articles with Cambridge University Press, including Ancient Greek for Kids: From Theory to Praxis(2022), Insights on Classics in Praxis at the Delphi Economic Forum (2023), and In Greek We Trust! Παίζοντες μανθάνομεν (2023). As an author, she has written educational books for children, such as Wisdom Tour, Μανθάνω τὰ Γράμματα τοῦ Ἀλφαβήτου, and Γράφω, Σβεννύω καὶ Μανθάνω, introducing Classical Greek through creative and age-appropriate methods.
