Fanis Papathanasiou is an anchor and senior diplomatic correspondent at ERT TV (Greek Public Television) with over twenty-five years of experience in covering significant diplomatic and international events. A longtime correspondent based in New York, he is currently located in Athens and reports on global crises, wars, and various other major news events, including conflicts in Iraq, Lebanon, and other regions of the Middle East. Throughout his career, Fanis Papathanasiou has conducted exclusive one-on-one interviews with numerous international figures, including Donald Trump, George W. Bush, Secretary Mike Pompeo, Turkish leaders Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Ahmet Davutoğlu, and Abdullah Gül, as well as former Israeli Prime Ministers Shimon Peres and Ehud Olmert, former Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, and IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, among others.
