Born in 1966 in Istanbul, Andrea Rompopoulos is a graduate of Zografeio Greek Minority High School and the Medical School of Istanbul University. Since 1988, he has served as Editor and Director of the Greek minority newspaper ΗΧΩ in Istanbul and, in 2015, founded the radio station ΗΧΩ ΤΗΣ ΠΟΛΗΣ.
His journalism career includes serving as a correspondent reporter for ANTENNA1 TV (1991–2008), the Athens News Agency (APE) (2017–2021), and Deutsche Welle (2017–2023). He has also collaborated with major Greek newspapers such as ETHNOS, ELEFTHEROS TYPOS, and TA NEA.
Since 2008, He has been the Turkey correspondent reporter for MEGA TV. In addition to his media work, He is an active member of the Pera Istanbul Sports Club, where he served as President until 2024.
