Basil is a lawyer and entrepreneur with extensive activity across diverse sectors. He serves as a partner, director, or shareholder in several companies operating in Greece, Cyprus, and Iraq, including the investment and trading firm Asinin Corporation, consultancy Milhous Associates, mineral trading company Centurion Atlantic, and timber trading firm Royal Tree Corp, among others.

In addition to his business ventures, Basil plays an active role in policy and business diplomacy initiatives. He is the Vice President of the Hellenic-Iraqi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, co-founded with MEP, President Nikos Papandreou. He is also a member of the Leadership Council of the London-based Democracy and Culture Foundation, a member of the Strategic Council of DIKTIO—one of Greece’s leading think tanks—, a member of RUSI, and serves as a Senior Advisor with Delphi Economic Forum.

Previously, Basil served as a political advisor with the Government of the Hellenic Republic and EU Commissioners and collaborated with major think tanks and policy institutions across Greece, Europe, and the MENA region, such as the European Council on Foreign Relations and the Konstantinos Karamanlis Institute for Democracy.

He’s a published poet and holds an LLM from the University of Paris.
