Rania has over 27 years of professional experience, including positions of high responsibility, across different sectors. Currently she is Vice-Chair of the Board and President of the Executive Committee of SEV Hellenic Federation of Enterprises. She also serves as a board director in several boards, including ElvalHalcor S.A., Motor Oil S.A. and HEDNO S.A. as well as to several board committees. In the board of HEDNO, Rania is nominated by Macquarie Asset Management which holds a 49% equity stake.
Previously she was CEO of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations, Greece’s sovereign fund (HCAP, currently GrowthFund). Before, she was Partner at Ernst & Young (EY) in Transaction Advisory Services and Energy Sector Leader for SE Europe. During the period 2010-2015 she served as Deputy CEO and member of the Board of Public Power Corporation (PPC), the leading listed Greek electric utility.
She worked for more than 10 years in Corporate and Investment Banking in London and in Athens, for Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas and Eurobank. She began her career at Texaco in the oil and gas sector. She is member of the Advisory Board of Dianeosis, member of the Leadership Committee of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Member of the board of ALBA Graduate Business School.
She holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MBA from City University in London (Bayes Business School).
