Symeon A. Paschalidis is professor of Patristics and Hagiography at the Department of Social Theology and Christian Culture of the Faculty of Theology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is also Director of the Patriarchal Foundation for Patristic Studies, at Vlatadon Monastery/Thessaloniki. He has served as President of the Byzantine Research Centre of the Aristotle University. He is currently the director of the program for graduate studies on the history, art, spirituality, and music tradition of Mount Athos, AUTh. He is author or editor of 10 monographs and more than 70 of articles and chapters, written in Greek, English, French, Russian, Ukrainian and Italian and published in scientific journals, collective volumes, and proceedings of conferences. He has been appointed by H.A.H. the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew as Αrchon Hypomimneskon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
