Drossos Kyriazis was born in Athens in 1968. After graduating from Athens College, he studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a Royal Scholarship at Imperial College in London, followed by an M.Sc. in Communications and Signal Processing. He completed his studies at City University Business School with an MBA in Marketing. He joined Telmaco in 1a993 where he developed the transition of the Video and Film Production in Greece from Linear to Non-Linear Editing. He lead the team that designed, delivered and supported server-based News Production and Playout systems for the majority of the Private and Public TV Networks of Greece and Cyprus. After the Greek Crisis, he played a key role in the establishing of Telmaco as an International Audiovisual and Broadcast Systems Integrator in the EMEA Region. He developed for Telmaco the market of Africa, with a special focus in Ethiopia, becoming one of the most successful and recognized companies in the region in their field, having completed large and prestigious projects to the majority of the Public and Private TV Networks and Public Organizations in Ethiopia. During his career in Telmaco, he played a key role in adapting and integrating new technologies in Telmaco’s offerings, enabling customers to develop more efficient and productive workflows. He has been involved in designing, delivering and providing technical and operational support solutions for the complete range of operations of broadcasters; from scheduling and planning software, Newsroom Management Software and News Production Systems, Editing and Graphics Post Production, Playout Automation Systems, DVB Subtitling, Virtual Studio and Augmented Reality Graphics, Media Asset Management and Digital Archive Systems, to TV Studios, Camera Robotics, Lighting Systems, Large Video Walls, OBVANs for Live Events Coverage, Radio Stations, up to RF and Satellite Transmission Systems, OTT platforms and Content Delivery Network Services. He believes in human beings and enjoys working closely with his team, but also with his partners and customers to progress and develop new skills for their mutual success. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
