Panagiotis Lymperis was born in Athens in 1965. He graduated from the Hellenic Naval Academy in 1986. In his 41-year career in the Hellenic Navy he was privileged to serve in various command and staff positions at sea, ashore and abroad, to include Chief of the Hellenic Fleet from 2020 to 2023. He holds a M.Sc in Information Technology Management and a M.A. in National Security Affairs from NPS Monterey, CA. He is also a graduate of Naval Command College at Naval War College in Newport, RI. Since 2024 he is the Chairman of the board for HCDI, SA. He is married and has one son.
