Mr. Ioannis Aligizakis holds a degree in Political Science and Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s degree in Marketing & Management from the University of Essex.
He began his career at ELINOIL S.A. in 1975.
In 1988, he took over ELINOIL’s Commercial Division, and since 2006, he has served as the company’s CEO while being also member or President of the Board of Directors of the subsidiaries and associated companies within the Group.
Since 2023, he holds also the position of the executive President of ELINOIL SA.
Under his leadership, ELINOIL S.A. has evolved into a vertically integrated energy group with a strong presence in major energy markets, becoming one of Greece’s leading export-oriented companies.
He has been, since 2007, a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Petroleum Marketing Companies Association (SEEPE) since 2007.
Since 2015, he has held key leadership roles within the Association, serving as Chairman from 2015 to 2017 and again from 2019 to the present.
In addition, he actively participates to the dialogue and has a strong presence in the petroleum and energy sectors, with an extensive portfolio of articles and publications.
