Foivos Karzis is a journalist and columnist for the newspaper Ta Nea Weekend. He studied Byzantine and Modern Greek literature in Athens and linguistics in Reading, UK. Over the past 35 years, he has worked in radio (Flash 9.61, Athens 98.4, City 99.5), television (ERT, Star), and the press (Naftemporiki, Eleftheros Typos, Ethnos tis Kyriakis, Ependysi, Kefalaio, Kerdos, 24 Ores, Proti, Exormisi, Oikonomikos Tachydromos). In the field of communications, he serves as an advisor to the management of Eurobank. He has written the books The Middle Void: The Rise and Fall of the Middle Class in Greece and the World (Papadopoulos, 2020) and Between Two Facets of Greece (Polis, 2006). Recently, he contributed a chapter on the Greek middle class during the post-dictatorship era to the collective volume Stories of the Metapolitefsi (edited by K. Kostis and S. Rizas, Patakis, 2025).
