Konstantinos Gioulekas was born in Thessaloniki. He comes from a commercial family, son of Petros and Magdalene Papadopoulou – Giouleka. He has a son, 23-year-old Petros-Grigoris.
Studies:
Ptychion in Law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Ptychion in Political Science and Public Law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Master’s Degree in Criminal Law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
PhD in the School of Modern Greek History of the University of Peloponnese.
Law:
He was a lawyer for 20 years, specializing in Criminal and Commercial Law and Intellectual Property issues. Member of the Attorneys’ Union of Thessaloniki.
Journalism:
He has worked, for about 30 years, as a reporter, author, editor, news director and columnist in the newspapers: ELLINIKOS VORRAS, VRADINI, MACEDONIA, THESSALONIKI, EGNATIA and in the radio stations: MACEDONIA STATE RADIO, THESSALONIKI MUNICIPAL RADIO FM100, FM A103. He worked as editor-in-chief, news presenter, responsible for historical documentary and information series and program director at the Municipal Television of Thessaloniki TV100, from 1989 to 2004. He also worked at NEW CHANNEL and EXTRA CHANNEL. In his first steps he collaborated with YENED, with ERT1 and with many regional television and radio stations, as well as with magazines. He participated in many missions abroad. Member of the Association of Editors of Daily Newspapers Macedonia – Thrace and the International Federation of Journalists. He taught for many years in Schools of Journalism of Thessaloniki.
Politics:
Elected MP in the elections of May 2023, and June 2023. Elected first MP in with New Democracy in the elections of July 2019, September 2015, January 2015, June 2012, May 2012, October 2009, September 2007 and March 2004. Elected MP by his first descent in the April 2000 parliamentary elections.
He is Deputy Minister of the Interior, sector of Macedonia and Thrace since 14 June 2024
He was Chairman of the Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Parliament from 2019 until 2023 and participates in the National Council of Foreign Policy.
Deputy Minister of Education and Religions, responsible for the field of Lifelong Learning and Vocational Education (2013 – 2014).
Deputy Minister of the Interior, responsible for Mass Media issues (2008 – 2009).
Program Secretary and Head of Justice Department of the ND. He was also Chairman of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on Public Administration, Justice and Public Order and Vice-Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Penitentiary System.

He was the leader of the major opposition in the Municipality of Thessaloniki with the Municipal lineup “OMADA DIMIOURGIAS GIA TIN THESSALONIKI”.
He is the third founding member of the youth of ND in Northern Greece, a member of MAKI, ONNED and DAP-NDFK, as well as a founding member of the Special Party Organizations of Lawyers and Cultural institutions of ND.
He is a founding member and President of the civil non-profit company “We Live Equally – In Solidarity – MAZI”, which founded and operates a Social Grocery in Thessaloniki.
Social activity:
He was a founding member and President of the urban non-profit company “With Solidarity We Live Equally – M.A.Z.I.”, which founded and operated a Social Grocery Store in Thessaloniki.
He was President and member of many Associations both in Thessaloniki and Athens, such as the Historical and Ethnological Society of Greece, the Society of Macedonian Studies, the Philoptochos Brotherhood of Men, the Thessaloniki Club, HANTH, the Athenian Club, the Union of Editors of Macedonia Thrace and the Attorneys’ Union of Thessaloniki.
Konstantinos Gioulekas’ collection
Konstantinos P. Gioulekas, for more than forty years, collects relics from the periods of the national Struggles. His collection includes documents, newspapers, anecdotal photographs, letterheads, orders, maps, uniforms and weapons from the Revolution of 1821 to the present day. Mainly, however, it focuses on the Epic of 1940 – 41. A large part of this collection was donated to the War Museum of Thessaloniki, where it is exhibited on a permanent basis. This exhibition, entitled “This is how we fought in 1940-41”, was inaugurated by the former President of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias in October 2005.
