Nikos Konstandaras is a columnist for Greece’s Kathimerini newspaper and was the paper’s managing editor from 2004 to 2017. He is also the founding editor of Kathimerini English Edition. He was an op-ed contributor to the New York Times International Edition from 2013 to 2019 and has written for several other foreign publications. He also served as a Correspondent for The Associated Press in Athens from 1989 to 1997, covering the broader region. He was born in South Africa and holds a B.A. and M.A. from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
